Training & Experience

I earned my Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) from Azusa Pacific University, which emphasized a family systems therapeutic approach. During my graduate studies, I worked with children and adolescents who experience anxiety, depression, challenges with regulation, and those with significant trauma histories. I also was trained in pediatric neuropsychological assessment at Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles and in a private practice setting. I have background and experience specifically in assessing children with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and learning and intellectual differences. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services, where I offered therapy and assessment services for children and adolescents who experience a variety of challenges such as with emotional and behavioral regulation, social communication, executive functioning, anxiety, and depression. I have a background prior to my graduate training in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. I am also trained and certified in the UCLA PEERS social skills program designed for neurodivergent teens.

Philosophy & Style

I believe that working with children and teens means working with the entire family system. Through supporting the entire family, we are setting up our children for a successful future. I am also a firm believer that therapy serves as a foundational layer for children, giving them skills to better communicate their needs and process their experiences, which are crucial tools to set them up for lifelong success. I am passionate about combining the structure of evidence-based therapies (such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy) with genuineness and warmth.
